Annual Report and Upcoming Kalendar

Scotland – South East
Deputy V
Ill
Bro. William K. Braithwaite 33°

It gives me much pleasure to submit my second "annual" report for the Province of Scotland South East.
During the year under report, I have visited all the Sovereign Chapters and Sovereign Councils under my charge and examined the books and found all to be in good order and heart. On all these occasions, I was cordially received with kindness shown, and the hospitality extended, was second to none. It was my great privilege and honour to assist members of the Supreme Council Deputations in the discharge of their Installation duties and thank them all for their kindness and welcomed advice.
The ceremonial work in the Province is, generally, of a very high standard for which I thank all the office bearers who have participated in the ceremonies and thank them for their dedication to the Orders and the Rite. Thanks must be extended to the Most Wise Sovereigns and Grand Commanders not only for their ceremonial work, but on the amount of visiting they put in. I see the dividends of their labours in the number of M.W.S's,GD CDR's and visitors who return the compliment. Attendances at our ceremonies are, in the main, fairly stable, and there is a steady flow of prospective Candidates for both Orders. My special thanks are extended to all the Secretaries and Treasurers who do immense work, seen and unseen, in the administration and running of their respective Chapters and Councils.
It saddens me to report the "passing beyond the veil" of well respected, loved and well known Brethren to higher duties, they are sorely missed, and our sympathies are with their loved ones and their families.
On happier notes, our congratulations are extended to Ill
Bro. David M. Hogg 30° on his award by Supreme Council of the "Distinguished Service Diploma" for his services to the Rite. This honour was very well deserved and tells us much about IllBro. David's courage and determination under the most arduous circumstances, we wish him well and good health during his term as Illustrious Grand Commander of Edinburgh Sovereign Council No.1.
My thanks are due to Most Wise Sovereign, Ill
Bro. William Fulton 30°, for his very kind invitation to Forth Valley Sovereign Chapters "Ladies Night". Meg and I were very pleased to accept, very well received, and had a thoroughly smashing night. We thank you all.
Still on a happy note, on the 28th March '19 in the company of V
IllBros. Fraser Gaunt 33°, VIll Bro. Iain Stewart 33°, IllBro. Jim Brown 32° and IllBro. George Donnelly 31° and myself, at the invitation of M.W.S. Dale Hall 18°, we attended Aberwicke Chapter Rose Croix, No. 423 E.C. at Berwick on Tweed, where we were accorded a very warm welcome and generous hospitality. The ceremony carried out is completely different from what is worked under the Scottish Constitution of the Rite, but have to add that it was educational!. It was our great pleasure to meet VIllBro. Stephen Read 33°, Inspector General District of Northumberland, my counterpart. An invitation was extended to VIllBro. Read 33° to come and visit Border Sovereign Chapter at a time convenient to him. At this time I thank MIllBro. Grand Secretary General Alexander Galbraith 33° for his assistance and guidance in assuring the correct protocol was observed for this visit.
Finally, may I take the opportunity to thank the Administrative Staff at 94a, M
IllGrand Secretary General, and convey my sincerest thanks to Fiona and Jemma, for their kindness, patience and assistance, nothing is ever a problem to them - Thank you .
