Members of Supreme Council
The Supreme Council for the Thirty-Third and Last Degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite for Scotland and the Dominions and Dependencies of the British Crown and other Parts of the World consists of nine members, all of whom are expert and prominent Free and Accepted Masons in Scotland and hold the 33˚ of Grand Inspector General.
M∴P∴ Sovereign Grand Commander
Bro. Charles Iain Robert Wolrige Gordon of Esslemont 33˚
The current Sovereign Grand Commander M∴P∴ Sovereign Grand Commander Bro. Charles Iain Robert Wolrige Gordon of Esslemont 33˚ succeeded to the Supreme Council on the 25th June 2003.
After serving the Council for 19 years he became Sovereign Grand Commander on 23rd March 2022.
In addition he has served as Grand Master Mason of the Grand Lodge of Scotland between 2009 and 2018 and as First Grand Principal of the Supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Scotland from 2004 to 2009.
V∴P∴ Lieutenant Grand Commander
Bro. John F. Herrick 33˚
The V∴P∴ Lieutenant Grand Commander Bro. John F. Herrick 33˚ succeeded to the Council on the 22nd March 2006.
Bro. Herrick is a Past Substitute Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Scotland. He also served as Provincial Grand Master of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Dunbartonshire between 2002 and 2007.

Bro. Ewan Rutherford 33˚
The M∴Ill∴ Grand Chancellor Bro. Ewan Rutherford 33˚ succeeded to the Council on the 24th June 2009.
Bro. Rutherford is a Past Depute Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Scotland.
He also served as Provincial Grand Master of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Edinburgh between 2012 and 2017 and is currently Deputy Grand Master and Governor of the Royal Order of Scotland.

Bro. Henry G. Petrie 33˚
The M∴Ill∴ Grand Chamberlain Bro. Henry G. Petrie 33˚succeeded to the Council on the 1st January 2017.
Bro. Petrie served as Deputy for the Province of Scotland North East from 2001 to 2011.
He is also a Past Provincial Grand Master of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Aberdeen City, a Past Provincial Grand Master of Aberdeen and Kincardine of The Royal Order of Scotland and is currently Grand Sovereign of The Grand Imperial Council of Scotland.

Bro. David M. Thomson 33˚
The M∴Ill∴ Grand Master of Ceremonies Bro. David M. Thomson 33˚ succeeded to the Council on the 18th October 2017.
Bro. Thomson is currently Provincial Senior Grand Deacon in the Provincial Grand Lodge of Dumfriesshire.
He is also currently Substitute Provincial Grand Master within the Provincial Grand Lodge of Carrick & Annandale Royal Order of Scotland.

Bro. William A. Perry 33˚
The M∴Ill∴ Grand Captain of the Guard Bro. William A. Perry 33˚ succeeded to the Council on the 23rd March 2022.
Bro. Perry is the Immediate Past Provincial Grand Master of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Lanarkshire Middle Ward having served from 2016 to 2021.
M∴Ill∴ Grand Standard Bearer
Bro. Alistair Henderson 33˚
The M∴Ill∴ Grand Standard Bearer Bro. Alistair Henderson 33˚ succeeded to the Council on the 23rd March 2022.
Bro. Henderson is currently Junior Grand Deacon in the Grand Lodge of Scotland.
He is also a Past Provincial Grand Master of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Glasgow having served from 2009 to 2014.
M∴Ill∴ Grand Sword Bearer
Bro. Colin McCormick 33˚
The M∴Ill∴ Grand Sword Bearer Bro. Colin McCormick 33˚ succeeded to the Council on the 18 October 2023.
Bro. McCormick is currently Provincial Senior Grand Deacon in the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ayrshire
He is also Marischal within the Provincial Grand Lodge of Carrick & Annandale Royal Order of Scotland.
Other 33˚ Free and Accepted Masons
Supreme Council has also given Honorary membership to thirteen deserving brethren, 10 of whom have already served on the Supreme Council or as a Deputy, the 33˚ has also been conferred on the thirty three Serving Deputies worldwide.
In addition there are approximately fifty Past Deputies and past members of Supreme Council who have retired.
Giving a world wide total of Ninety Three 33˚ Free and Accepted Masons under the auspices of the Supreme Council for Thirty-Third and Last Degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite for Scotland.
M∴Ill∴ Grand Secretary General
Bro. Alexander Galbraith 33˚
The M∴Ill∴ Grand Secretary General Alexander Galbraith 33˚, is the 16th person to serve the Council in that capacity. He succeeded to the Council on 26th June 2002, after having served as Deputy for the Province of Scotland South-West between 1998 and 2002.
Brother Galbraith is a Past Substitute Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Scotland. He also served as Provincial Grand Master of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Renfrewshire West between 2003 and 2008.
He served the Great Priory of Scotland as Grand Mareschal for 14 years before retiring in 1998 with the Rank of Knight Commander of the Temple.
Bro. Galbraith is also a Past Provincial Grand Master of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Glasgow and West of Scotland of the Royal Order of Scotland.
